About this farm
Our overall purpose is to develop healthy living habits among Plummer-Worley School District students while improving food security. Our goal is to instill a value of growing and eating fresh fruits and vegetables among the youth and enhance place-based science learning. The garden at Lakeside Elementary School provides a space for students to get their hands dirty while learning about various aspects of horticulture, gardening, and harvesting techniques, food production, and nutrition.
